Amy Pease is a board-certified Adult Nurse Practitioner and Adjunct Professor at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, with more than 25 years of clinical experience across diverse healthcare settings. She maintains an active clinical practice and brings broad, current insight into clinical decision-making, documentation practices, and standards of care within complex healthcare systems.

Her career has spanned inpatient, outpatient, and long-term care environments. She has served as a clinical preceptor and lecturer at the University of Wisconsin, reflecting formal academic appointment and experience in medical education.

Ms. Pease is experienced in the careful analysis of medical records, clinical reasoning, and documentation integrity. She has worked extensively within large electronic health record systems, including Epic, and is skilled in evaluating complex timelines and layered clinical documentation.

Ms. Pease has extensive experience evaluating medical necessity determinations and documentation standards related to coverage decisions, prior authorization, and claims review processes.

She earned both her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. She is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center  and is a Certified HIV Specialist. She is licensed as an Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber in the State of Wisconsin.
